March 18, 2021
Dear Residents,
Throughout this pandemic, we have tried to listen to our employees and residents about ways we can help make these difficult times a little better. We implemented policy and procedure in an effort to keep everyone safe, and tried to shift our programs and services to keep some consistency.
One thing we keep hearing is that our residents want their common spaces back – so, per the shift in recent Government and Public Health guidance, CHC will be reopening all Common Rooms and Lounges in all residential buildings effective Monday March 21, 2022.
Upon opening, there will be no capacity limits in place and masking will not be mandatory when using the space. In fact, as of Monday March 21, masks will no longer be mandatory in any CHC residential building or office space.
While we know there will be some excitement about this, we encourage you to remain vigilant, because the COVID-19 virus is still very much in our community. We encourage you to keep your mask on, as able, and try to limit large gatherings.
Just so you know, we may still ask COVID screening questions when you call to arrange for maintenance service, and our staff may be wearing masks when they are in the building or when they attend your home. Please respect that it is an individual choice whether to wear a mask or not, and CHC will support all employees and residents, regardless of their mask wearing decision.
As always, we wish you continued health and safety.

Daily Employee screening (Daily Check-Ins) will remain in place, though there will be some slight changes to the questions, which will be communicated in advance of the changes.
As always, CHC will continue to monitor legislation and guidance, and assess the risk to employees and tenants to ensure adequate precautions are in place.
